Featured Pot Shtickers:

David Fuks has been CEO of Cedar Sinai Park  which provides services to elders and adults  for the past 16 years. In an earlier life he performed as a standup comedian and was a member of an improvisational comedy group, Waggie and Friends.

Betsy Kauffman came to stand-up comedy from sit-down tedium (as a news anchor). A founding member of “Spilt Milk,” which features women who can’t quite control the remote or understand their kids, Betsy draws from experience as a wife and mother.

Joanie Quinn turns domestic chaos into well-timed hilarity. A Hollywood refugee, she credits years of casting game shows and scripting sitcoms and movies with giving her the perseverance and humor it takes to get through parenting.

Nikki Schulak admits to “a knack for bending truth to meet my needs”, a capacity that can also make people laugh. A trained educator, her resume lists “competitive parallel parking and drawing good conclusions” as her top two skills.

Wendy Westerwelle, a Portland theatre icon — “Angry Housewives” ran two years at the Storefront — has done stand-up in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Her newest one-woman show, “Medicare-Fully Fabulous,” opens in February at the Triangle Theater.
